Hello Wedding lovers! If any of you know me, you know I have an obsession with shoes. Before I got pregnant for the first time, before I got married to my handsome husband and groom, and LONG before I had my second daughter, I used to wear nothing but SEXY SHOES. Sexy, glorious, high heeled and stylish shoes. Now you still might see me sneak out of the house in a pair, now and again. But it’s not often today. Though I have promised myself that I would one day return to the land of the tall and leggy. Until then, I shoe obsess through my amazing job as a wedding photographer, shooting mostly Toronto weddings along with Hamilton and Niagara weddings.
So in honour of my shoe love, true love, I’ve put together a selection of images about, yep, SHOES. It always thrills me to see what a bride picks as her wedding dress on her big day. I always try to imagine, Veil? No Veil? Long Train? Tulle? A Lace wedding dress with a small simple train? A classy button backed wedding gown that hugs the hips? But all in all, most brides choose to wear white on their wedding day. And that’s one reason I LOVE to see their shoes. There is so much more flexibility. It speaks volumes about their personality! Some wear colours and prints, and some stay with a classic and elegant shoe. Sometimes comfort is the plan for the wedding shoe – which can sometimes add in a bit of fun and humour to the day as seen in Natalie and Josh’s Aviation wedding (a just ‘plane crazy wedding’.) Shockingly I find myself often drawn to the subtle and simple pairs. The classics. I’ve included a few adorable flower girl shoe choices as well, just for fun. So here is my Shoe Love True Love share for you for Hump Day.
