Well I can tell you, I am just “plane” in love, with Natalie and Josh’s aviation wedding. Oh did I mention, I also like cheesy plays on words? No? Well I just plane do. That’s how I like to fly. Okay I’m sorry. I will desist.
Seriously though, this wedding is probably a top 5 on the THE MOST FUN WEDDINGS OF ALL TIME wedding list!
Well first of all, it was full of airplanes, and I am just ‘plane’ nuts about airplanes. They held their ceremony, wedding reception and their wedding photography all at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (The same airport that we did Brian and Dana’s sexy aviation inspired engagement photos – omg what sexy engagement photos they were! You can check em out here!).
I love this place. Get this. The money spent to use the Warplane Museum as a wedding venue, is rolled back into taking care of the planes housed there. What a fab thing for your wedding budget to be used towards. It certainly makes it easier to stomach when you think of how much a wedding costs these days! (You can check out more wedding info for the Warplane here!)
We started the day with Natalies prep. Man was she relaxed. Her Bridal Makeup looked perfect, done by Debbie Bauer – and it was completely her style, a natural look. So a few of us hopped into my fab white MiniVan… (who we affectionately call Jenny – the great white buffalo – the one that got away… Yes that is a Hot Tub Time Machine reference). and somehow we all made it to the wedding venue for a Bride and Groom First Look!
I was also thrilled to snap a few photos of the cake with created by my gal Jen of Jen Bakes Cakes (Another pilots wife!).
There she met her soon to be Hubby – Josh – who like Natalie is also a pilot. Together they are working on their own homebuilt to…. I feel like there is some sort of ridiculously cliché thing I could say here about sailing into their dreams, or letting love take flight, but I will spare you….
The bride wore a simple and elegant gown, aviators, and well, the best shoes I’ve ever seen at a wedding to date. You will have to scroll to see what I mean!
Thanks to Tony Mammone Photography for second shooting with me!
